Alisma subcordatum (Mud Plantain) is an interesting wetland plant, featuring a thick rosette of deep green foliage from which springs a delicate cloud of white flowers beginning in June. At about two to three feet high in flower, this plantain is usually found submerged or in mud flats in the backwaters of streams and pond mudflats in full sun.
