Typically found in prairies and savannas, Sand Coreopsis thrives in dry-mesic to dry soils. Brilliant yellow daisy flowers with lobed petals are held erect above clumps of narrow green leaves and bloom all summer. It may spread freely by seed. A favorite of pollinators, it is also the larval host for a few moths.
