Rhus typhina (Staghorn Sumac)


An excellent shrub to for colonies, but is aggressive particularity on small landscapes.  It can give a tropical feel with ts palm-like foliage, but with a native plant in the Midwest.  Yellow to orange-red-purple fall foliage and scarlet fruit provide fall and winter interest and food source for overwintering birds.
