Lance Fruit Oval Sedge, also known as Pointed Brown Sedge, prefers wet to mesic moisture conditions and full sun. It actively forms tussocks during the cooler seasons using its short rhizomoatous root system. Its inflorescence of tightly bunched spikelets turn brown, providing a delicate texture and food for songbirds.
