Our Story

My name is Nick Fuller and as a fellow native plant nut, I saw a need for an
outlet that focused on plants native to Illinois. In 2014, I set out to solve that problem by creating Natural Communities Native Plants. We have gone about that solution in a slightly unusual way.  Rather than a traditional "bricks and mortar" store locked into a single location, we felt that by housing ourselves online we could better serve the large geographic area, making plants available to all.  We hope that you find our store convenient with online shopping and shipping to your home. 

 

Beyond a normal nursery, we are laser focused on providing the knowledge and the plant material to help you succeed. We find the best success with deep long term partnerships where both our clients and us succeed better together.
