Erythronium albidum (White Trout Lily)


This perennial plant is an extremely short ephemeral plant with beautiful white flowers. The leaves of this plants are extremely beautiful and the distinctive mottled leaved give it the "trout" in white trout lily. Can be successfully established in dappled light with moist to mesic soil moisture. It can form great early ground cover, but this plant like all true ephemerals fades away as the summer unfolds.
