Schoenoplectus acutus (Hardstem Bulrush) is an invaluable wetland plant for marsh and wet prairie restorations, shoreline stabilization, and floodplain restoration. Reaching up to six feet it can compete well with aggressive wetland plants. The bright green foliage and stems offer cover and food for many marsh birds and it's roots provide valuable food for muskrats.
