How this CRP planner works

Total PLS pounds = planting acres × prescribed PLS lb/acre. For example, a hypothetical 10-acre field at a plan-specified 5 PLS lb/acre requires 50 PLS lb. The sample rate illustrates the arithmetic; it is not a planting recommendation.

PLS weight differs from bulk bag weight. Lot-specific purity and germination affect the bulk amount to purchase. Species composition, minimum live seed counts, establishment methods, seed origin, package rounding and any allowances need separate review.
