Cornus stolonifera (sericia) (Red-Twig Dogwood) is a medium-sized deciduous shrub found in moist lowland areas but can grow fine normal soil conditions. Red twigs give distinct winter appeal. White flowers give way to berry-like drupes that change from white to blue as they ripen in late summer; attractive to birds.
