Cephalanthus occidentalis (Buttonbush)


A shrub with white "Button" flowers that grows wet and shaded conditions.  It is a fast growing but short lived shrub with unusual looking honey-scented flowers wildly attractive to bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds. The seeds are important wildlife food.
