Anemone canadensis (Meadow Anemone) makes a great native full sun ground cover!!!! It stands to be about 2 feet tall at the most and produces a dense matting in individual plants which consist of a whorl of long-stalked basal leaves. The leaves are deeply divided into three segments. The multiple flower stalks produce a single flower which as a crop in whole look like a sea of white when in bloom in spring.
