Prairie Pussytoes is a tiny plant of about four inches height with velvety foliage. The small clusters of white flowers appear in April and resemble its common name of pussy toes 😁. Spreading by seed and stolons, Pussytoes prefers prairie situations with dry to mesic soils. A great plant for the front of the border or the miniature garden, it is also a host species for Painted Lady butterflies.
