Monarda punctata (Spotted Bee Balm)


Monarda punctata (Spotted Bee Balm) is a sandy and dry soil loving cousin of the more common Mondarda fistulosa, it is easily recognizable by its multiple whorled stacks of white-pink bracts tucked above or below clusters of yellow flowers. It is also one of the most tolerant of drought and full sun of its kind. This plants attractiveness is a plus to how well it performs in harsher, hotter conditions.
