Penstemon pallidus (Pale Beardtongue) is a native of the dry prairie and savanna, Pale Beardtongue has narrower leaves and a more dainty appearance than its cousins. It does best in dry-mesic to dry soils and the showy white tubular flowers bloom in early May. Pollinated by a wide variety of bees.
