Pycnanthemum tenuifolium (Slender Mountain Mint)

Slender Mountain mint is an airy perennial with narrow, smooth pale green fragrant leaves and stems. Clusters of white flowerheads bloom all summer beginning in June. It does best in prairie to savanna situations in almost any well-draining soil. A fantastic pollinator plant as its nectar-rich flowers attract a broad array of insects. The genus name comes from Greek pyknos meaning dense and anthos meaning flower for its densely packed flowers.
