Carex radiata (Straight-styled Wood Sedge)

Carex radiata (Straight-styled Wood Sedge) has slender dark green foliage that is exquisite when in isolated clumps. When planted in mass is can form a lush carpet similar to a groundcover. The seed heads look like fireworks exploding in spring.  The seeds are great food for waterfowl and songbirds.  One of our favorites!!!!
